BIOGRAPHY
Junyan Boon
SALSA | ZOUK | TANGO
With a career spanning from 2004, Junyan has been a dedicated dance teacher, DJ, and event organizer, specializing in partnered social dances such as salsa, tango, and zouk.
Upon retiring in 2020, Junyan, alongside his partner Caney, has shifted focus towards further developing their craft. They also dedicate time to conducting occasional workshops for zouk enthusiasts globally.
They currently manage Dance Annex Studios, a multi-location, community-centric arts facility dedicated to dance.
Caney Dança
ZOUK | LYRICAL | JAZZ
Caney was introduced to dance at the age of 3, and has trained in many different styles during her life, with a focus on Chinese folk dance, jazz, ballet, contemporary, and lyrical.
In the more recent years, discovering the dynamic world of partner dance including salsa, bachata, and her most loved Brazilian zouk!
As an instructor, she inspires and encourages her students to fully embrace their learning journey. As an artist and performer, she brings her audience in to live the dance. As a dancer, she dances to lose herself and find herself at the same time.
