If you are offering any form of activity where you collect payment then yes you will need insurance. The most common form of liability claim is trip & fall accidents (i.e. someone trips and falls during your booking and they can no longer work). This can result in a lawsuit of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Sometimes things happen. One case that we encountered recently was when someone clogged a toilet with paper resulting in $10,000 of damages to our unit and the unit below.
In this situation, the person had refused to get insurance prior and the studio went into debt to cover the damages. Our insurance company refused to cover damages caused by a third party using our studio because they could not subrogate.
